CHOCOLATE PIE

Ingredients

• 3 c milk
• 4 T cornstarch
• 1/2 c cocoa minus 1 T
• 3 T butter
• 1 c sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 3 eggs
• 1/4 c evaporated milk

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cocoa, sugar, salt, cornstarch, butter, vanilla, egg yolks and ¼ c evaporated milk. Bring milk to boil and stir this mixture in. Cook until it thickens. Pour in baked pie crust and top with egg whites. Put back in oven to brown. (Evalyn Allen)
