Holiday popcorn -2013**

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1/4 C white Karo syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 8-10 Cups popped pop corn.

Preparation

Step 1

Place popcorn in roasting pan in over to warm. Warm popcorn coats better.

Combine sugar, butter and syrup in 4 cup glass measuring cup. Cook apx. 30-45 seconds until melter. Mix well. Return to Microwave and bring to boil, apx. 60-90 seconds. Once boiling cook 1 minute. Remove from microwave add vinalla and mix well. Once blended add 1/2 tsp baking soda. Mix well. Pour Carmel over popcorn in pan. Once well blended, bake at 300 for 10 minutes mix well and return to oven for 5 more minutes.. Cool and break apart. Store in air tight bag.

For nut popcorn add 2/3 cup of walnuts or pecans and 1/3 cup sliced almonds. place on top of popcorn before adding caramel. Once cool you may add red and green m&m's.
