Upside-Down German Chocolate Cake

  • 1 1/2 c. flaked coconut
  • 2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 4 c. powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour 9X13 pan.

Spread coconut evenly on bottom of pan. Sprinkle with pecans. Prepare cake mix as directed on box. Pour over pecans.

Combine cream cheese and melted butter in medium size mixing bowl. Beat on low with mixer 1 minute or until creamy. Add powdered sugar, beat until blended and smooth. Drop by spoonfuls evenly over cake batter. Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool and serve by turning upside down onto plate.
