Sedona's Caramel Crispix Mix

Ingredients

  • 3/4 C. dark Karo syrup
  • 1-1/2 sticks butter
  • 1-1/2 C. brown sugar
  • 1 box (17.9 oz.) Crispix cereal
  • 1 lb. (approx. 4 cups) Pecan halves

Preparation

Step 1

Bring to a boil the syrup, butter and brown sugar. Cool slightly.

Mix the cereal and Pecan halves and divide into two 9 x 13 pans that have been sprayed with Pam.

Divide the coating evenly and pour over the cereal/nut mixture in the 2 pans.

Bake @ 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

Pour onto wax paper and cool.

After it's cool, break apart and store in a covered container.
