Bob Webb's Hot Sauce

This is the best hot sauce I have ever eaten. Bob made this hot sauce every year from ingredients in his garden. I worked with Bob at Pratt & Whitney.

Ingredients
- 12 green bell peppers
- 12 medium onions
- 40 jalapeno peppers
- 2 c. white vinegar
- 2 T. salt
- 1 T. mustard seed
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 . T. oregano
- 1 T. cumin
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1/4 c. sesame oil (or vegetable oil)
- 4 bay leaves
- 3 gallons tomatoes (2 1/2 size cans) or 3 quarts pureed tomatoes

Preparation
Step 1
1. Remove seeds from peppers and grind with onions and garlic.
(Leave seeds in jalapenos for added heat.)
2. Cover with boiling water then drain.
3. Add the rest of the ingredients and boil until canning consistency, about 45 min. to 1 hour.
4. Spoon into clear hot jars and seal. Process in hot water bath for 10 minutes.
Makes 7-8 pints.
