Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 stick oleo
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1 c. water
- 3 tbsp. cocoa
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- Filling:
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Topping:
- 1 c. white sugar
- 6 tbsp. milk
- 6 tbsp. oleo
Preparation
Step 1
Mix all crust ingredients and bake in cookie sheet for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.
For filling: Beat everything but powdered sugar for 5 minutes. Add powdered sugar and spread on cooled cake.
For topping: boil white sugar, milk and oleo for 1 minute. Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips; beat until thick and cool. Spread over filling. Keep refrigerated. Freezes well.
