Raspberry-Balsamic Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup minced shallots
  • 1 tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup seedless raspberry jam
  • 1/4 cup each balsamic and red wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp each Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce
  • salt, black pepper, red pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Seat shallots in oil in a saucepan over medium eat until softened, 2-3 minutes.

Whisk in tomato sauce, jam, balsamic and red wine vinegars, Dijon and Worcestershire. Simmer sauce 10 minutes, then season with salt, black pepper and pepper flakes.
