Whole Wheat Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 c. warm water
  • 2 pkg. yeast plus 2 Tbsp
  • 2 tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. safflower oil
  • 2/3 c. honey
  • 11 to 12 c. whole wheat flour

Preparation

Step 1

Put yeast in a large bowl. Add 2 cup warm water. Let set for 5 minutes. Stir, add salt, oil, honey and remaining 2 cup water stir. Add 10 cup whole wheat flour and mix. Add 1 cup high gluten natural unbleached white flour for the 11th cup of flour. The 12th cup use to work with the board. You can use white or whole wheat flour. After kneading let rise 2 to 2 1/2 hours punch down. Place in 4 greased Pyrex loaf pans and let rise 45 minutes. Bake 425 degrees for 40-45 minutes
