Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 1 1/2 c. egg whites
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. cream of tarter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1 1/8 c. Swans Downs cake flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 cup Crisco
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 Tbsp. Almond extract
- 3/4 bag powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Mixture flour and then sift flour. Measure flour again and then put in bowl and mix with 3/4 cup sugar. Sift together 3 times. Set aside
Put egg whites and salt in large bowl. Beat till foamy. Add cream of tarter beat till stiff and stands in peaks. Sprinkle in while beating 1 cup sugar. Add vanilla and almond extract. Fold flour mixture into egg whites with spatula. Put in angel food pan and take at 375 degrees 30 minutes.
Frosting:
Mix all ingredients together and spead over cooled cake.
