Michael Symon's Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 bag brussel sprouts quartered & blanched
  • 1/4 c. diced smoked bacon
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 shallot minced
  • 2 T. grain mustard
  • 4 oz chicken stock
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 2 T. butter

Preparation

Step 1

Heat 1 T. of the butter over medium heat & carmelize sprouts for 3 minutes. Set aside.

In separate pan, crisp bacon for 3 minutes, then add garlic & shallots & continue to cook for 1 minute.

Deglaze pan with stock and lemon juice. Whisk in butter and mustard.

Toss in sprouts & serve.
