Ingredients
- 1 lb. Extra Lean Ground Beef
- 1 Lg. Onion, chopped
- 4 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 1 C. Each, thinly sliced Carrot, Celery & Zucchini
- 11/2 tsp. Dried Italian Herb Seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Can ( 28 oz./ 796 ml ) Diced Tomatoes
- 1 Pkg. ( 900 ml ) Sodium-Reduced Chicken or Beef Broth
- 1 Can ( 213 ml ) Tomato Sauce
- 1 C. Fresh Spinach, chopped
- 1/4 C. Fresh Italian Flat-Leaf Parsley, chopped
- 1/2 C. Broken Dry Spaghetti
Preparation
Step 1
Cook beef, onion, garlic, carrot, celery, zucchini, italian seasoning & pepper flakes in dutch oven over med-high heat for 10-15 min. or till meat is thoroughly cooked & liquid has evaporated. Add tomatoes, broth & tomato sauce; bring to a boil. Reduce heat & simmer for 15 min. Add spinach & parsley. Stir in pasta; simmer for 10 min. or till pasta is tender. Serve.
