Ingredients
- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
- 1 1/3 c. oatmeal, uncooked
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 12 oz. pkg. semisweet chocolate chips, divided
Preparation
Step 1
In lg. mixing bowl, combine margarine, oatmeal, flour, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat 3 min. at med. speed. Stir in 1 c. chocolate chips. Spread batter in greased 8 inch square pan, cover dish with waxed paper. Microwave on High 4 min.; rotate dish 1/4 turn. Microwave on High 4-5 min. longer or until cake top appears dry and bottom is even color. Sprinkle remaining 1 c. chocolate chips over top of warm cake. Let stand 10 min., spread chocolate chips evenly over cake.
Can double this recipe and put in 9x13 pan to bake in oven.
