Ingredients
- Cooking spray
- 15-20 saltines
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 4 oz. chocolate chips (2/3 cup)
Preparation
Step 1
1. Line jelly roll pan with aluminum foil, spray with cooking spray.
2. Arrange saltines salt side down in a single layer.
3. In medium saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar together and boil until it turns a caramel color, a few minutes. Remove from heat and pour over the crackers covering them evenly.
4. Put the jelly roll pan into the oven and bake 3-5 minutes or until just bubbly, watching carefully. Remove from the oven and pour chocolate chips over the crackers. When the chips melt a bit, spread them over the crackers with a knife.
5. Transfer the pan to the freezer for 10-15 minutes or until completely cold. They will form one big sheet. Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
