Blackberry Dumplins

When George was a little boy, his Granny had him pick blackberries...she paid him $1.00 a bucket...then would use the blackberries to make this for him!! MMMMM Yummy!

Ingredients

• 1 quart blackberries
• 2 cups water or 1/2 cup water if you use canned berries
• Sugar to taste
• 2 oz or 1/2 stick butter
• Left over biscuit dough ( or make a recipe of Biscuit biscuits)

Preparation

Step 1

Cook berries with water and sugar until tender
Roll out biscuit dough very thin and cut into strips
Pinch off bits of dough and drop into boiling berry mixture.
Boil gently 10 minutes and reduce heat.
Cover and simmer until desired consistency..about 15 minutes
Serve with ice cream.
