Hot beef sandwiches (slow cooker)

Ingredients

  • 4 lb rump roast
  • 2 envelopes onion soup mix
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 cans beef broth (10 1/2 oz cans)
  • 1 bottle beer, 12 oz
  • crusty french rolls

Preparation

Step 1

1) trim excess fat from beef and put in slow cooker

2) combine the rest of ingredients (except rolls) in a large bowl. pour over beef. cover and cook high for 6-8 hours until beef is fork tender

3) remove from slow cooker and shred with forks. return beef to cooking liquid. serve on rolls with extra liquid for dipping
