Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 lbs. beef stew meat
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 6 cups hot water
  • 3 pared medium potatoes cut into cubes
  • Small baby carrots
  • 1 medium onion, diced (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 bay leaf

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour, salt and pepper. Coat meat with flour mixture. Brown meat thoroughly in vegetable oil in skillet.

Add water and heat to boiling. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 2 hours. Stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
