Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sour milk
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups zucchini, grated
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts

Step 1

Cream butter, oil and sugar together. Add eggs, vanilla, and sour milk. Blend thoroughly. Sift together flour, cocoa, soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Blend with creamed mixture. Stir in zucchini. Spoon into greased and floured 9 x 12 " cake pan. Sprinkle with chips and nuts. Bake at 325 degrees about 45 minutes to 1 hour. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool
