CHRISTMAS COFFEE CAKE

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup glazed cherries
  • 2 tbs citron peel
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour, salt and baking powder.
Stir in fruit.
Cream butter and sugar.
Beat eggs in one at a time.
Stir in flour mixing alternatively with sour cream.
Spread half of batter in pan.
Mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle on batter.
Top with remaining batter.

Bake at 350F (180 C) for 50 minutes in a bundt pan
