Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups butter or margarine, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tbsp. hot water
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. soda
- 2 cups quick-cooking oats
- 2 cups cornflakes
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup pecans
- 3/4 cups raisins
Preparation
Step 1
Beat butter at medium speed with electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugars, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in water and vanilla. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add to butter mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and remaining ingredients. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 12-14 minutes. Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool. Yield: 8 dozen
