    cups diced ham

  • 1

    onion, diced

  • ¼

    cup butter

  • 1

    cup sliced carrots

  • 2

    cups diced potatoes

  • 1

    cup diced celery

  • 3

    Tbs butter

  • 2

    Tbs flour

  • cups milk

  • 1

    cup grated cheddar cheese, devided

  • ½

    cup shredded cheese

  • bread crumbs or potato chips


Cook ham and onion in butter until onion is transparent. Set aside. Cook carrots, potatoes and celery in boiling water until partially cooked. Drain and set aside. Make white sauce with 3 tablespoons butter, flour and milk in saucepan. Melt shredded cheese into white sauce. Add ham mixture and drained vegetables. Top with bread crumbs or potato chips. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes or until done.
