Ingredients

  • 3 c sugar
  • 1 c butter
  • 2 c 100% bran
  • 2 c boiling water
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 qt sour milk (add 2 T vinegar to sour)
  • 5 c flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 tsp soda
  • 4 c all bran

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar together. Fold in 100% bran and boiling water. Let cool.

Combine eggs and milk.

Mix flour, salt, soda and all bran. Add milk & eggs to flour mixture. Fold in creamed mixture from above.

Bake 425 degrees for 15 mins.

Batter lasts for 6 weeks in fridge.
