Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage, ground
- 1 1/2 t crushed red pepper
- 1 large white onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 6-8 C chicken broth
- 1 lb russet potatoes, sliced
- 1/2 bunch Kale, washed and torn in small pieces
- 1 C heavy cream
Preparation
Step 1
1. Saute sausage and crushed red pepper in large dutch oven or pot. Drain excess fat, remove from pan and set aside.
2. In the same pan, saute onions and garlic until onions are soft.
3. Add broth and potatoes and bring to a boil. Cook for about 30 minutes.
4. Add heavy cream, the cooked sausage and kale and heat to serve.
