Nutty Toffee Triangles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup milk choolate toffe bits
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • Butterscotch Drizzle
  • Butterscotch Drizzle
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch-flavored chips
  • 2 tsp. vegetable oil

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 325 degrees. beat butter adn powdered sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on meidum speed, or mix with spoon. Stir in flour and finely chopped pecans. Press in ungreased jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch, with lightly floured fingers. Sprinkle with toffe bits and coarsely chopped pecans; press lightly into dough.

2. Bake 27 to 32 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Place pan on wire rack. Cool slightly, about 15 mintues. For Triangles, cut into 2 1/2 inch squares with non serrated knife, then cut eat square diagonally in half. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Drizzle with Butterscotch drizzle.

Butterscotch Drizzle
Place ingredients in small microwaveable dish. Microwave uncoverd on high about 1 minute or until chips are softened; stir until smooth.
