Next up for my holiday treats is something other than a cookie, peppermint chocolate covered pretzels! The sweet and salty combo can be an amazing one and when it is as easy to do as dipping some salty pretzels in chocolate you just cannot go wrong. Chocolate coated pretzels are as easy to make at home as melting some chocolate and dipping the pretzels into it! Once you have the melted chocolate on the pretzel it is the perfect vehicle to stick something else on like crushed peppermint candy cane making it a perfect treat for the holidays! These peppermint chocolate coated pretzels make a welcome addition to any holiday cookie platter and they are perfect for giving away as gifts!

directions

Melt the chocolate in a microwave or in a double boiler.

Dip the pretzels in the chocolate, shake off any excess, dip in the crushed candy cane, shake off any excess and place on wax paper, a no stick baking pan or on a wire rack to cool.

I used to make chocolate covered pretzels every year at Christmas, but haven't in a few. These look yummy and are definitely striking up a craving!
