Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1/8 tsp cayenne
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 jars salsa, 16 oz each
- 1 can refried beans, 15 oz
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 2 cups plus 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preparation
Step 1
1. Brown beef in medium skillet. Drain off grease, and add the salt, chili powder, cayenne and garlic. Cook for 2 more minutes.
2. In your slow cooker, mix beef mixture with salsa, refried beans, sour cream and 2 cups of the cheddar cheese. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours.
3. Fifteen minutes before serving, sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Keep cover off and continue cooking on low to keep the bean dip warm. Serve with tortilla chips.
