Ingredients

  • Pork :
  • 1 pound boneless pork loin, trimmed of visible fat and cut into julienne strips
  • 4 tablespoons Spicy Seasoning Blend, divided
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tart green apple, cored and diced
  • 1/4 cup pecan pieces
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • Spicy Seasoning Blend :
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 2 teaspoons thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 3 tablespoons paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

Pork :
Season pork strips with 2 tablespoons Spicy Seasoning Blend. Toss pepper, apple and pecans with 2 tablespoons seasoning, reserve. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Stir-fry pork strips (1/2 at a time) 2 minutes; turning constantly. Remove and keep warm. Add reserved seasoned pepper, apple, pecans; cook and stir 2 minutes. Return pork to skillet and stir. Serve immediately.

Spicy Seasoning Blend :
Combine all ingredients. Store, covered, in airtight container. Shake before using to blend. Makes about 1/2 cup.
