Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 1 loaf challah bread, 1 inch slices
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tea vanilla
  • 1/2 tea cinnamon
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups half & half
  • 1/8 tea nutmeg
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp dark corn syrup
  • 1 cup pecans

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heavily grease 9 inch baking pan. Place slices in pan.
2. Mix eggs, milk, half & half, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. Poor over bread.
3. Cover & refrigerate overnight
4. Next day, mix topping ingredients. Spread on bread.
5. Bake 350 for 40 minutes.
