Swedish Hard Tack

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c butter
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 c cracked wheat or quick cooking oatmeal
  • 3 c white flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c buttermilk

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, sugar, mix dry ingredients add to cream mix. Form into a small ball. Cover and let rest 1 hour. Roll thin as for pie crust. WHen cool break into pieces.
