  • 1 16 oz can tomatoes-drained, reserve juice
  • 1 8 oz can tomoto sauce
  • 2 tsp garlic juice (2 minced cloved)
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • cracked pepper and tobasco to taste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 5oz package thin egg noodles
  • 1 3 oz package Philadelphi cream cheese
  • 6 green onions, chopped
  • 1 package mozzeralla cheese slices
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz sour cream

Step 1

early in the day or the day before, sprinke the bottom of an iron skillet with sale and heat to brown the beef. When browned, drain well and add tomatoes. Brown the tomatoes lightly and add reserved juice adn tomato sauce. Season with garlic, sugar and tobasco. Stir well and lower heat to simmer. Add cracked pepper and bay leaf. Simmer 30 minutes

Cook noodles, drain and combine with cream cheese, chopped green onions and sour cream.

Grease a 9 x 12 glass baking dish and alternately layer noodes mixture, meat mixure and grated cheese. Bake covered in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. (or longer if needed). place mozzarella cheese across top to cover. Bake 5 minutes or longer if needed to melt cheese.

Freezes well.
