Ingredients
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 loaf thickly sliced French bread
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter - add brown sugar - stir until mixed. Pour into a 9x13" pan. Beat eggs, milk, and vanilla. Lay slices of bread in pan - single layer. Spoon 1/2 egg mixture over bread. Add a second layer of bread and spoon remaining egg mixture over top. Cover and chill overnight. Bake covered at 350 for 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake 15 minutes more. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon. Serve with syrup.
