I've made this cake many times. The fiirst time I got the recipe was at the Barcardi distillery here in Puerto Rico. Still a favorite any time of year.
My daughter bakes this for a Junior Girl Scout bake off. The judges questioned the suitability for the event. They sure ate most of the cake though. Now at age 43 (32 years later) she bakes these for friends and family for the holidays. A wonderfu cake!
Absolutly LOVE this cake!
My Sister-in-Law gave me a "treasured family recipe" for rum cake. This is the same recipe for the same cake that is infamous throughout the US..lol. :)
If you haven't tried this, do!
I have been using this recipe for numerous years at Christmas time, I give them away as presents. This year I have to make 14 cakes. My family and friends love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
