Ingredients

  • BASE
  • 32 graham crackers
  • 2/3 c. acked brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. evaported milk
  • 1/4 c. pancake syrup
  • 3/4 c. flaked coconut
  • 1/2 . cup finely chopped walnuts
  • FROSTING
  • 1 c. icing sugar
  • 2 T. butter
  • 4 t. pancake syrup

Preparation

Step 1

1. LLine 8" square pan with foil. Place 11wafers in single layer in bottom of pan, cutting to fit. Crush 10 wafers for filling, set aside.

2. In saucepan, mixbrown sugar, butter, milk and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in crushed wafers, coconut and walnuts. Spread over wafers in pan. Top with remaining wafers, cutting to fit.

3. Stir together all frosting ingredients until smooth. Spread over top. Sprinkle with additional chopped walnuts.

4. Refrigerate til firm.

5. Using foil, remove from pan and cut into squares.
