Ingredients

  • 2 8 oz pkg sweet German Chocolate
  • 10 T butter
  • 2 Pkg 6 oz Cream Cheese
  • 2 C Sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 C 2T flour
  • 3 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • pinch salt
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Melt chocolate and 6 T butter - Cool.

Cream 4 T butter and cream cheese till soft. Add 1/2 C sugar, blend until fluffy. Blend in 2 eggs 2 T flour and 1 tsp vanilla.

Beat 4 eggs til fluffy. Add 1 1/2 C sugar. Stir in baking powder, salt and flour. Blend into Chocolate. Stir in nuts, 2 tsp Vanilla and almond.

Pour 1/2 of chocolate batter into greased 9 x 13 pan. drop cheese over chocolate and then rest of chocolate batter. Swirl briefly with knife. Bake at 350 30 - 40 minutes
