Double Chocolate Mint Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. margarine, softened
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 16 oz. can Hershey's syrup (1 1/2 c.)
  • Heat oven to 350. Grease 9x13 pan. In lg. mixer bowl, beat flour, sugar, butter, eggs and syrup until smooth. Pour into pan, bake 25-30 min. Cool completely. Spread Mint Layer on cake, chill. Pour Chocolate topping over top, chill and cover.

Preparation

Step 1

Mint Cream Layer:
In sm. Bowl, combine 2 c. powdered sugar, 1/2 c. margarine, softened, 1 T. water, 1/2 tsp. mint extract and 3 drops green food color. Beat until smooth.
Chocolate Topping:
In sm microwave proof bowl, melt 6 T. margarine and 1 c. mint chocolate chips or semisweet chocolate chips at high for 1-1/2 min. or just until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.
