Homemade Cranberry Sauce
Deliciously simple to make. Perfect to have on hand for the holidays. Utilizing frozen cranberries, this will make your kitchen smell yummy too! {Photos and recipe are the property of Keeley McGuire, www.keeleymcguire.com}
Ingredients
- 1 12oz package of frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 2 TB of water
- 1 TB of lemon or orange zest

Preparation
Step 1
After opening the package of frozen cranberries, reserve 1/2 cup of the cranberries and set aside.
Pour the rest of the cranberries into a saucepan on the stovetop, on low heat.
Stir in the 1/2 cup of sugar, water, and zest. Cook for about 10 minutes - until cranberries are soft and the sugar is dissolved.
Turn heat up to medium and cook until cranberries burst. Stirring every few minutes and sauce is formed. This will take about 15-20 more minutes.
Cool and serve.
