  • 1

    12oz package of frozen cranberries

  • ½

    cup of sugar

  • 2

    TB of water

  • 1

TB of lemon or orange zest

After opening the package of frozen cranberries, reserve 1/2 cup of the cranberries and set aside. Pour the rest of the cranberries into a saucepan on the stovetop, on low heat. Stir in the 1/2 cup of sugar, water, and zest. Cook for about 10 minutes - until cranberries are soft and the sugar is dissolved. Turn heat up to medium and cook until cranberries burst. Stirring every few minutes and sauce is formed. This will take about 15-20 more minutes. Cool and serve.
