Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs yolks beaten with
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 pkg. 6 oz chocolate chips
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, sugar.
Add egg yolks, water, vanilla and blend.
Mix in dry ingredients to make a stiff dough.
Pat out on a greased cookie sheet, 14"x10", and on top sprinkle chocolate chips.
Beat egg whites stiff, add brown sugar and spread on top of dough.

Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
Cool before cutting into squares.
