CHOCOLATE TORTE CAKE (3 boxes whip cream)
- 1/2 c butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 squares unsweet choc
- 1 1/2 c sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 c flour
- 1 1/2 c whipping cream
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Cool; set aside. Beat cream until soft peaks form. Add cooled chocolate mixture, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients with mixer on low speed. Pour into 2-3 pans (greased and floured). 350, 20-25 minutes. Cool and wrap tightly; refrigerate.
Whip 1 c whipping cream, set aside. Beat 8 oz cream cheese; add 1 c 10X sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, add whipped topping. Set aside.
Split cake and spread filling in layers.
Melt ¼ c butter, 2 squares chocolate and cool. Add ½ c whipping cream, 1 tsp vanilla and 3 c 10X sugar. Beat well and frost cake.
