Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chili powder
  • 1/3 cup flower
  • 1/2 t garlic salt
  • 1/4 t cumin
  • 1/4 t dried oregano
  • 3 - 14 oz. cans chicken broth
  • 1 - 12 oz. can tomato sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in saucepan over medium-low heat. In a small bowl, mix together dry ingredients. Slowly add dry ingredients to melted butter in pan, stirring constantly. Mixture will become crumbly. Mix well. Slowly add chicken broth. Stir constantly until well blended. Stir in tomato sauce. Stir and cook over medium heat until bubbly. Reduce heat to low, and cook and stir for 10 minutes. Divide into approx. 4 equal potions and freeze for future use. Use one portion for making enchiladas or chicken tortilla soup.
