Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 gallon milk
- 1 pound velveeta cheese
- 1 box of elbow macaroni.
Preparation
Step 1
1 stick butter, melted in a pan.
Remove from heat, add ½ cup flour, mix well.
Put back on heat and cook the flour on low heat. Don’t let burn.
Add ½ gallon milk, cook on medium heat.
Add about 1 pound velveeta cheese and cook in milk slowly until melted.
While heating cheese, cook a box of elbow macaroni. Put drained macaroni in a oven safe bowl and pour cheese mixture over it. Add some bits of velveeta cheese throughout the dish and a few on top. Bake in oven at 350 for about 25 minutes.
This was my favorite when Grandma Ann made it. It became a favorite of everyone.
