Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup + 1/2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1-1/2 oz semisweet chocolate chips
- 3 tbsp " I can't believe it's not butter"
- 2 tbsp light corn syrup (honey)
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 lg egg whites
Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oven to 350F. Line an 8" square pan with foil, overlapping sides by 1-1/2". Spray foil with cooking spray.
2. Sift 1st 4 ingredients into a small bowl.
3. In microwaveable bowl, melt "butter" and chocolate chips until smooth. Pour into a lg bowl. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, water and vanilla until blended. Beat in egg whites. Stir dry ingredients into chocolate ingredients.
4. Pour evenly into pan. Bake 24-28 mins, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Using foil overhang as handles, lift brownies out of pan, slide onto a serving plate.
