PEPPER STEAK FOR ONE

  • 4 OZ BEEF ROUND STEAK
  • 1 TBSP VEGETABLE OIL
  • 1/4 CUP SLICED GREEN PEPPERS
  • 1/4 THINLY SLICED GREEN ONIONS
  • 1 SMALL GARLIC CLOVE, MINCED
  • 1 TBSP CORNSTARCH
  • 1/3 CUP WATER
  • 2 TSP SOY SAUCE

Preparation

Step 1

POUND STEAK TO TENDERIZE, CUT INTO 1/4 INCH STRIPS. IN A SKILLET, BROWN STEAK IN OIL OVER MEDIUM HIGH HEAT. ADD GREEN PEPPER, ONIONS AND GARLIC. STIR FRY FOR 2-3 MINUTES. COMBINE CORNSTARCH WATER AND SOY SAUCE UNTIL SMOOTH, ADD TO SKILLET. BRING TO A BOIL, COOK AND STIR FOR ONE MINUTE OR UNTIL THICKENED
