Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup half and half
- 1/8 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 3 pinches salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 1 recipe of Homemade Savory Pie Crust Recipe
- 1/4 cup finely diced baked ham
- 1/4 cup finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese (2 oz)
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion (top part only)
Preparation
Step 1
1. Whisk the egg in a small mixing bowl. Add the half and half, paprika, salt, black pepper and cayenne and whisk the custard to combine.
2. On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch. Using the pastry cutter (the side marked "bottom), cut the dough into 4 circles. Arrange the dough circles in the wells of the Emeril by T-fal Pie & Cake Maker and carefully press and shape the crusts.
3. Place 1 tablespoon of ham, 1 tablespoon of cheddar cheese and 1 tablespoon of green onion inside of each crust. Stir the custard together and pour 1/4 cup of the mixture into each crust. Close the lid and plug it to begin heating. Cook until the crust is golden-brown and crisp and the filling is puffed up and jiggles lightly, about 16 minutes total.
