Chocolate Orange Praline Loaf
Tastes like a chocolate covered orange. The praline makes this cake rich and buttery in texture; the flavor combo is unbeatable!
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all purp flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- zest of one large orange
- 1/3 cup lowfat lactaid
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup crushed hazelnut praline (finely ground)

Preparation
Step 1
Combine salt, baking powder, baking soda, orange zest, and sugars in a large bowl.
In a medium sized bowl, combine eggs, milk, juice, and oil.
Mix ingredients from medium bowl into a larger bowl with the dry ingredients.
Fold in the praline and chocolate chips.
Bake at 350 for about 40-45 minutes in a non-stick loaf pan.
For the glaze:
combine about 1/3 cup cocoa, 1/2-2/3 cup powdered sugar, and 2-2 1/2 TBSP orange juice in a medium sized bowl, mix well...should have a slightly runny texture so that you can drizzle it over the cake after it's cooled.
