Oven French Toast

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 2-8 oz packages of cream cheese
  • 12 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup

Preparation

Step 1

Cut the bread - crust and all - and cream cheese into little chunks. Layer them in a 9x12 inch baking pan (no greasing necessary), placing one layer of bread into the pan then a layer of cream cheese, until all of the squares are used up. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the milk. Add the maple syrup to the mixture and stir until smooth. Pour over the layers of bread and cream cheese. Cover the pan and refrigerate overnight so the liquid has a chance to be soaked up by the bread and cheese.

Bake for 45 minutes at 375 making sure that the bottom of the pan doesn't burn.
