Sauce-Sweet and Sour
- 2 1/2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 C cold water
- 4 TBsp sugar
- 5 TBsp brown sugar
- 1 TBsp jelly-apricot, grape, etc.
- 4 TBsp ketchup
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 2 TBsp sesame oil
Mix 1/4 C water w cornstarch and then stir in remaining water, both sugars, and ketchup-mix well. In small saucepan med heat until begins to thicken and then add sesame oil and jelly.
Serve on spring rolls or sweet and sour dishes.
Note: May need to add more cornstarch thickening for desire consistency and more ketchup if too sweet.
