Ingredients

  • Okra
  • Corn Meal
  • Salt
  • Cooking oil

Preparation

Step 1

Chop Okra
Mix corn meal and a little salt in bowl or container
Roll okra in corn meal mixture

Fry okra, barely covered with oil in cast iron skillet (up
to medium-high heat)

Cook until lightly browned

Drain on paper towels

Salt to taste

NOTE: To freeze fry okra to be taken out and cooked later; follow the the first three steps. Then lay okra in one layer on cookie sheet until hard and doesnt stick together. When removing to cook, cook as instructed above.
