Taco Salad

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 cups chopped tomato
  • 1/2 cup Catalina dressing
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 4 cups crushed corn chips

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat & drain. Add onion & cook until tender. Add beans & seasonings, cover & cook over medium heat 10 minutes. Combine lettuce, tomato, dressing & cheese. Add meat mixture & toss lightly. Top with corn chips. Serve immediately. Yields about 6 servings.
