Ingredients

  • 4

    eggs well beaten

  • 2

    cups of milk

  • 1

    cup of sugar

  • 1

    tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1

    unbaked 9" pastry shell (try deep dish

Directions

Combine eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt and mix well. Pour into pastry shell Bake at 425 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted halfway between center and edges comes out clean. Serve slightly warm or cold. Note: The center of pie may not be firm when pie is removed from oven, but it will firm up when cooled. Over baking will make custard watery.
