Frosting: Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients

  • 2 oz good quality semi sweet chocolate chips or 2 squaes semisweet baking chocolate, chopped
  • 6 tablespoons buttr, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place the chocolate in a microwavable container and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Chocolate will have just begun to melt, but will have retained most of its shape. Stir until completely melted.

2. In a small bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until smooth with a whisk. Stir in the milk, then stir in the melted chocolate until well combined.

3. Set aside covered until ready to use. Fit a piping bag with a tip and fill with the frosting. Pipe frosting decoratively on top of the mini-cakes.
